Grossman Interactive setup a responsive Magento Community site for 39DollarGlasses.com, that would extent their existing Interchange eyeglasses website/ for contact lenses. This new area of the website would mirror the main eyeglasses store, and ensure that customers can choose from their wide variety of contacts.
In addition, a custom contact-lens module was used and extended, to ensure that choosing the necessary prescription/ rx information was possible, for example the Power, Sphere, Base Curve, Axis, Diameter, etc. This information is then stored throughout the checkout flow as attributes. The customer is then given the ability to upload a prescription file from their doctor or select a doctor from the list to be called to confirm the prescription.
Note that when the customer opts for the website to contact their doctor, we use the Twilio/ API service that contacts the customer via automated/phonecall, listing the details of the order and requiring the chosen doctor’s office to approve. This automation and more was seamlessly integrated into the Magento backend admin area tools.
Finally, their 3rd party shipping provider wasa integrated with using an XML flow with error reporting to ensure orders and shipping data was flowing back and forth.
